Salon Concierge

Position Overview

The salon concierge is the first and last point of contact for clients and is therefore primarily responsible for the first impression of the salon. Your role is very important because you ensure a positive client experience upon arrival and throughout their visit. You will greet every client with a smile and a warm welcome. You are also responsible for assisting the stylists and the salon in general whenever the need arises. 


Guest services 

  • Warmly greet clients upon arrival, making them feel comfortable and valued 

  • Providing beverage and snack service to clients 

  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule client appointments via phone and online systems 

  • Answer incoming calls and provide information about salon services and pricing 

  • Check and respond to all messages via phone, email or social media platforms 

  • Process client check-ins, verify appointment details, and handle payment transactions 

  • Stay updated on all salon services, packages, and product offerings 

  • Promote and sell salon retail products to clients 

  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked 

  • Coordinate with stylists and other staff to ensure smooth client flow and service delivery 

Housekeeping

  • The cleanliness of the salon is of paramount importance.

  • Sweep, mop and sanitize the salon throughout the day

  • Restock as needed

  • Do the laundry to ensure clean towels and capes are available

  • Clean, organize and refill shampoo station

  • Replenish stylist products as needed

  • Replenish retail shelves

  • Inventory tracking and management

Hairstyling

  • Assist with shampooing clients when stylists fall behind

  • Preparing detoxes 

  • Mixing/Applying colour, treatments

  • Attending to clients under dryer when stylists are occupied

  • Sanitize and disinfect tools 

  • Styling clients when stylists are occupied

  • Finishing clients when stylists are occupied

Requirements

  • Ability to provide friendly, professional and attentive service to clients 

  • Clear and effective communication both verbally and in writing 

  • Efficiently manage appointment schedule and client details 

  • Proficiency in using salon management software 

  • Possess Intermediate computer skills 

  • Ability to confidently promote salon services and retail products 

  • Teamwork ethics 

  • Ability to multitask 

  • Ability to stand for long hours 

  • Ability to work within time constraints to meet service standards 

  • Willingness to learn and be coached
