Junior / Senior Loctician 

Job Type: Part Time/Full Time

Compensation: $22- $25 + commission

Position Overview

Our Ideal candidate enjoys every aspect of locs and textured hair care, sharing our strong commitments to promptness, professionalism and client safety. The position requires a professional who can multitask, who has great work ethics, and has a flexible schedule. 

The Senior loctician is experienced in advance starter loc and maintenance techniques such as crochet, interlocs and microlocs. 

The Junior loctician is experienced in intermediate loc maintenance functions such a retwist and interlocking and is willing to learn more advanced techniques. 


Responsibilities

● Starting locs using various techniques

● Shampooing locs

● Performing loc maintenance/grooming ie. retwist, interloc, crochet

● Styling locs

● Performing hair and scalp treatments

● Colouring locs

● Consult with clients and educate them regarding starting and maintaining locs

● Maintaining a clean workstation and salon environment

● Selling & upselling products and services

● Pre-booking clients for future appointments


Requirements

● 1-2 years experience starting and maintaining locs 

● Strong locking skills with experience in various loc techniques 

● Ability to execute both simple and complex loc styles 

● Ability to meet service standards and work within time constraints 

● Excellent customer service skills 

● Reliable, punctual with a professional demeanor and attitude 

● Comfortable in a team environment 

● Ability to achieve monthly sales benchmarks
